Apple released updates to the Mac and iDevices yesterday. I have installed all of them without any problems. Big Sur 11.6 will probably be the final update for the Big Sur operating system. Supposedly, this update fixed a potential problem with Pegasus spyware. I think it would be a very good idea to install it on your Mac even though Monterey will be out in a few weeks. Here is some more information on the security aspect of the 11.6 update.
