I just installed macOS Monterey 12.2 RC (Release Candidate) on my Developer test drive. The Release Candidate is the final version of the OS before it is released to the public. It took a while to download and install, but everything seems fine. The Apps I tried were very snappy, very responsive. I am sure 12.2 will be relased in the next few days. It probably is safe to install it right away, will advise on that.
